I swear not to offend or betray you;
How could I, when nearness to you is joy?

Your arms swayed with breezes of your fragrance,
My soul did, too, and I followed your steps.

I see people through your eyes; if I catch
You lying, I can find truth in your lies.

Temptress! What can your enamoured say now?
You enthral those who sit and speak of you.

If you knew my feeling, once without you,
You would thank the Lord for so much deep love.

Oh, yes, I love you and those who love you;
You are my hope, how can I not love you?
